Something new

I started messing around with the jewelry "jig" my mom let me borrow and after finally getting some wire that worked (the ones I had where either too thin or too thick...go figure) , I made my first bracelet last night!

I originally made it for Maia but she thought it was a toy so I guess Katie Belle, I mean Princess Zelda, and Sadie, I mean, Mariposa, will have to share for now. (I never know what to call my kids anymore, it's Sleeping Beauty, Dora, Snow White, Wolverine or something!)

Sadie wouldn't even smile, she was too busy posing!

I am so WEIRD!

Now I know some of you are nodding at the title (this is not new news to you) but I came up with a new reason while chopping onions. Instead of making me cry, onions make me sneeze! They don't affect my eyes at all but they make me sneeze almost every time.....weird.

Mariposa

Grandma got the girls the new Barbie movie "Mariposa" and then stayed up late last night sewing them each a costume. (Isn't she amazing?!) So this morning I woke up to three Mariposas! Aren't they cute?

Vacation!

Marlene, Trent, Chad and baby Brian left and went back home yesterday. We were sad but we'll see them in a couple weeks when we go to see Katie and Marcela's new baby! I know the kids will be excited when we finally tell them. It's too early for that right now. Maybe next week, then I only have to endure one week of "Are we going to grandma's house TODAY?" "NO! Not for 7 more days!!!!" "But that's a LONG time!" " I KNOW."

Ok. Make that the day before we go.

We came home yesterday and found a young couple trying to make a home in our front yard. I only got a picture of them leaving but they've been back a few times to try again.

I also took a picture of Maia's hairdo. She straight refused to let me take it out and redo it!
I love how kids have no idea how crazy they look. She had that piece of hair in her face all day and still wanted it there. Maybe she just likes variety. Maybe she's just nuts.

As for today, we splurged and ate at Winger's. Can I just tell you how happy I am that they're building one of those here in town? I just found out yesterday! Currently they're in Eagle and it's a good 20 minute drive. But we were looking to just get out of the house. It is, after all, spring break which means Casey has a vacation! The kids ate popcorn by the handful which is why it's one of their favorite places to eat, too. Then Grandma took Sadie and Luke to play games at Pojos in Boise. They came home with 10 tiny green army men, a purple plastic ring and a tiny glass plate. We went shopping and wore our other two out so, all in all, a good day!

The Beginning

So, inspired by Katie, we decide to start our own blog so everyone can check in on us and see what craziness we're up to. Easter was our official starting day and with Grandma Rawson, Marlene, Trent, Chad and baby Brian here to visit we've had fun! We went and visited Jeanie and Allen for a barbecue and ate all her chocolate amongst the chicken and burgers. We didn't color eggs since the girls had their new dresses on and that would have been a DISASTER! Dinner itself was a disaster, can you imagine adding DYE?!! But we did go to an Easter egg hunt with the ward and got plenty of candy. Chad ran around stealing everyones candy once we got home and since no one but the parents noticed we were good and he was happy!

Chad did have a bit of an accident when he didn't see the table coming and ran straight into it. Probably had something to do with the blanket on his head. He got a black eye. And then later, at a play area, he fell down a couple levels and landed face first on the floor...right on his eye again. Poor kid!

Enter the Man: I would like to go on record and say that the first "we" found in section one, paragraph one, line one, word five was to be origionally written as "I" namely the first person singular rather than its plural counterpart which would signify a more selfi... I mean individualistic "inspir[ation]" (word two brackets added) than as a whole. But hey, I gave her the evil eye... so it changed to "we." Exit the Man. (Thank Goodness!)
