Welcome 2011!

I know I've been bad about blogging regularly so I've decided that I will try and post something at least once a week. It's one of my new resolutions for this year. Another has been to exercise. I've been proud of myself in that I've been going walking/running for just under an hour four times a week...at 5:30 AM!!! Yes, A.M.! That in and of itself is amazing for me! I'm also running about 3/4 of a mile straight already. I know some of you may scoff at my meager abilities but for this flabby body of mine that's more than it's done in YEARS! =) I'm excited for what this year will bring and excited that I'm commited to share it more regularly. Help me keep it up!

A little catch up...

Thanksgiving was spent here at home since the weather kept us from getting to Pocatello. We were a little (okay, ALOT) disappointed but enjoyed visiting Jeanie and Allen, Grandma Rawson, Dale and Mitchell. It was fun to eat and then play games together like I always remember doing at Jeanie's house. It was great. The next day we put up the tree. I loved this picture of Maia and the tree and since it was the ONLY one that would load after trying over and over, it's the only one you get for now. (Looks like the others are finally loading...hurray!) Then by Dec. 1 there was alot of snow so we played outside, had a snowball fight and built a snowman that was taller than me. I realize thats not saying much...but, hey, he looked good, too!
Maia had her 5th birthday! She's such a big girl! I don't think she's in any hurry to get to school but she'll be ready for that when it comes. Right now she enjoys her quiet days with me, playing with whatever toys she wants and watching whatever movies she wants. She's independent and loves being in full control of the house. =) Her favorite gift was probably her most anticipated one...her movie "Barbie in A Mermaids Tale". She's now pretty good at drawing mermaids! And don't bother asking about the strange looking cake...she wanted dinosaurs on it. Enough said. =)

Christmas was so much fun! I love that Casey has the break off with the kids! We spent an entire week with grandma and grandpa (my parents) and with family. The kids saw all of their cousins who are close!
