The COOKIE MONSTER!

I just made these chocolate cookies tonight and they were GOOD! I posted them on our recipe blog if you want to try them but be warned that they take like TWO WHOLE BAGS of chocolate chips!!! As you can see, the kids loved them and every time I turned around there was someone stealing another cookie. Here I caught Maia in the act of stealing one for each hand and making a run for it! If she wasn't so cute and exactly like me in her love of chocolate, she might have gotten in trouble, but I understand her. =)

Going Home

On our way home, Casey absolutely shocked (and impressed) me by stopping and checking out the gorge by Twin Falls. Stopping for nature hasn't been something Casey's wanted to do. EVER. But maybe I'm rubbing off on him? Anyway, it was a fun little stop!

Spring Break

We've been having fun over spring break which explains why I haven't blogged in awhile. We went to Pocatello to visit family and had alot of fun seeing everyone. The kids loved it! Luke was especially excited to be with his cousin Colton. I can understand since they're both constantly surrounded by women! =) Anyway, we love you all! Thanks for putting up with us!

About Leather

Just thought I'd share another funny story. You all saw the shoes I made, right? Well, we'd gone to the leather store so I could buy a few scraps of colored leather. It's a small little store with leather on tables all over. The kids came in and started petting the furs and running around while I looked. After a little while, Sadie began to realize all the different animal skins that were in there and then she asked, "Sooooo do they kill the animals to take the fabric off them?" The lady paying at the counter started laughing and all I could say was, "Yup."

Glamour Girl

Yeah, I know you all thought it would be Sadie but NO! Katie Belle is the new glamour girl of the day, complete with a serious pose. I honestly have no idea where she got that from!

Sadie is 6!

Sadie's birthday was actually two weeks ago but I'm just finally getting the pictures on my computer so...Happy Birthday Sadie!!! She caught (or hunted as she put it) her first fish on her birthday. She loves to fish...a woman after my own heart. =) She makes her mommy proud. She helped decorate her cake and then everyone fought over which picture they wanted on their piece. Very fun...I wouldn't recommend it. =) I can't believe she's 6 already. We love our sweet Sadie!!!!

Shoes

My mom went to a class and learned how to make little shoes for babies. She shared the pattern with us (her daughters) and so I decided to make the girls some slippers. Here are Maia's. I also decided to get some leather and make some baby shoes to give to new moms and to show for the mini class I'll be giving next week! I went to the D.I. and found a cheap leather jacket which I took apart (it didn't fit me anyway...so no temptation there!) and made these little shoes with some other scraps of leather.
