Luke and Katie Belle's Piano Recital

Luke and Katie Belle have been taking piano from a friend of ours in the ward.  Every year she has the kids do a recital so they can practice performing.  This was Luke's first one and Katie Belle's second.

Here are the kids that took part in the recital.  It was a small group so not too much pressure.

Katie Belle did great.

Luke did great, too.  He messed up once but recovered well.

Then they had a duet.  They had practiced and practiced and it was awesome!

The kids broke my video camera so I had Sadie bring her camera to record it but for some reason it would just record a few seconds and stop so here is just a bit...in pieces.

So proud of them and all the work they put into it!  It's so nice to have music in our home.

Braces!

Well, it begins.
The sadness, the pain.

The braces.
I think she looks cute and maybe once the soreness wears off, she'll realize they're not that bad, too. :)

Ducky

My ducky is a momma!!!!
I call her mine because she always comes running to me when she sees me so that I'll feed her.  She had her nest in the middle of our tree/bush in the front yard so we've been waiting for the babies to arrive.  These three have always run around together and it's obvious one is the daddy because he'll stand watch and the other is like the grumpy uncle that nips at the babies if they get in his space!  Aren't they cute?!

Toothless

Maia's been losing teeth like crazy lately!  We've been calling her Toothless.  She actually likes it and was worried I wouldn't get a good picture of her as Toothless because they are already growing back in!  So here she is...Toothless.

Amy's Contest

Here's Luke in the hat he won from Amy!  He loves it.  So does everyone else!  :)  He wore it to school for a couple weeks before it got too warm, but I expect it will be back in the fall!  Thank you, Amy!

Spring Break in Pocatello

We spent Spring Break in Pocatello.  The kids were so exited because we had so many fun things planned AND because they were going to see their cousins!

First we spent the night at April and Walter's.  Here is Maia and Duchess.  She loves dogs.

Colton showed all of them the coolness of Minecraft on the computer.

We had a special surprise and had Jazmyne over too!  So naturally we needed a cousin picture!  They're all growing up too fast, but what a good-lookin' bunch of kids!

Then we all went bowling.  Jazmyne is an amazing bowler so she was giving the kids some pointers.

Then we went fishing with Ryan and his family, Marlene and her kids and Grandma and Grandpa Rawson.  Here's the bunch of us on the shore.

Jack was such a good fisherman.  He didn't give up the whole time and he caught the most fish of everyone!

My dad caught the monster of the day.  It was 2 feet long and nearly 4 1/2 lbs!  It was HUGE!

I caught a big one, too!  Mine was 19" and 2 1/2 lbs.  I love fishing. :)

Here's Ryan's monster...beard!  LOL!

Luke stayed all day and finally caught one, too.
He claims it is the first one he's ever caught and was crushed that we never got the chance to eat it.

On Saturday, we went to the Carousel exhibit at the Museum in Idaho Falls.  The kids rode the carousel there twice and loved it.  It was very neat.

That night Marlene took Casey and I on a ghost hunt with a group that was investigating at Amerigo.  Nothing crazy happened except that I got a headache in the basement and so I left and felt much better once up the stairs.  Marlene got some neat EVP's on her recorder though.

And we didn't get any pictures at Grandma and Grandpa Mattox's house but we had dinner there, too.  All in all, we saw all our family in Pocatello and had a great time.  I love having family so close!

Random Stuff

I've been so bad about blogging that I decided to post some of the random pictures that I haven't blogged about.

Here is Maia playing her DS.  Don't ask me why she likes to play here, but she does...and she fits!

Casey and his huge birthday cake!  Haha!  He likes German Chocolate cupcakes better than the whole cake so that's what he gets. :)  And what's the best thing about Dad?
He can always make us laugh!

April, Lacey and Colton came to visit and we set up a sheet and watched Star Wars on the big screen.  So here are the kids all waiting for it to start.

I won tickets to the Kids Expo this year so we all went and had a great time.  This was probably the girls' favorite area.  But they also got to pet snakes, lizards, frogs and see some fun animals.

My birthday picture!  Mmmm...cheesecake!

Luke was part of the class band for the school Talent Show.  They were really good!

And, finally, Sadie's 10th birthday!  She's so grown up and beautiful.  Love you sweet girl!
