Happy Cat

We've had our cat for a little over two years now and she's FINALLY started to feel at home with all of us. We actually see her lounging about and jumping in windows to look around and all that normal cat stuff...and this has just started lately. And as I saw her hugging the couch I thought to myself, now there's a happy cat!

Sick

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. I've been a little out of commission. I still don't know what I have but I think it's going away...finally! I don't know what I would've done without Casey. Poor guy. He's been filling in for me here at home and I know it hasn't been easy for him especially in the cooking department. Him and the kids have been really happy to have me on my feet again! Anyway, I hope to post a little more often now and get my terrible 80s picture on its way off the screen! =)

I asked Katie Belle what her favorite snack was as I took this picture since she's been saying it's grapes all week. Her response, "Apples! And cake." And a little while later, like she forgot, "Oh! And grapes. " I think it's her randomness that makes me smile. =)

80's Night

We went to an 80's Murder Mystery party on Friday. It was alot of fun and the costumes were hilarious! I'd never played one before so it was interesting to see how it all worked. Anyway, I thought I'd post our embarrassing selves on here for all of you to enjoy. We shopped just about every second hand store around to find our clothes but we found the banana clip for my hair at Walmart! Who knew people still wore those? And, no offense Marlene, but when my kids saw my hair they thought I was dressing up like you! I didn't have the dress on yet if that makes you feel better. =)

The Tank Game

I thought I'd just update all those who have heard of Casey's obsession with the Tank game that he finally did it! He beat all 100 levels! We're all so proud. =) Luke especially, although he didn't get to see it happen. We tried to wake him but there was no waking Luke from his near-comalike state! That's actually the reason we even have a picture. To show Luke that dad did it!

Your Fonts

I found a really neat site that will convert your handwriting into a font you can use on your computer! You do need a scanner to work it. Go to http://www.yourfonts.com/ . All you do is print out the forms, write in your letters and signature if you want, scan it and it makes a font you can download. I then pasted the file into the fonts folder on my computer, which, on mine, is in the windows folder. And it's FREE! Very fun! I'm hoping to get Luke and Sadie to do this for me so I'll have their handwriting on the computer. You should check it out, it's amazing!

Batman Returns

So I'm going to give you the Naked Baby alert! Maia is at the streaking age. She loves to take off her clothes just because she can do it herself. Luckily, she'll keep the underwear on. So I found her like this today and couldn't help but think "this is one picture I'll be able to use as blackmail when the boyfriends come around"! =) Yeah, and then came the thought, I'll just share it with the whole family! LOL!

Wii Fit Queen

Katie Belle LOVES the Wii Fit. She's so skinny that sometimes she comes up as "Underweight" and sometimes she'll come up as "Healthy weight". She's right on the line weight-wise. It makes me laugh every time because she throws the biggest celebration for herself when she's healthy and looks all put out when she's underweight! Her absolute favorite game is the running. As you can see, she loves to say "hi" to all the Mii's that she knows that run by her on the screen. Don't you just love her running form?

Sadie's Haircut

Sadie's hair had grown to about her bottom, which is fine with me, I like long hair. But lately she started to get some terrible snarls in it and since she's really tender-headed, brushing her hair was a PAIN! So after I went to a hair class on Saturday that was taught by a really great woman who owned her own salon, I decided to take Sadie and get her hair cut. Can you believe that when we told Sadie she started crying?! I mean, it was like we were beating her! So I consoled her and then forced her to go with me. Then, like all good mothers, I bribed her to sit in the chair and be good. They cut off about 6 inches and it's still long! She only got excited when they started to curl it. I promised her I'd curl it again for school today and so here she is! I don't think she could imagine herself to be more beautiful. Hannah Montana shirt, purple skirt we made her this week, and the purple tights she found and had to have! Add to that her purple boots and could it possibly get more glamourous?

Nope. She's my beauty queen!

Sleeping Beauty

We went to check on the kids last night and found Maia like this. It was too cute! She loves Luke's Batman mask and had me call her Batman last night. It reminded me of Luke all over again as I said goodnight to Batman. =)
