Dustin's Wedding!

Yes, you read that right. Dustin is MARRIED!!!! :D I got my invite a whole week ahead of time and was excited to find out it was really happening! So, February 10th we were in Utah for the wedding.
Me, Dustin and Jen.

Sadly, we were also there for LaVon's mom's funeral on Saturday. I feel like I grew up in her house, too, so I'm really sad she's gone. I thought her funeral was beautiful and it was neat to see so many familiar faces from my youth! I love you, Bonnie. Then that night was the reception in Poky. So here's a picture of a few of us. I didn't get one of us ALL together. :(
Have I always been so short?

Then we began the car decorating. I was impressed at how quickly it went with all the kids helping out. They did a good job. And then they told Dustin and Jen all about it and how they had to see it! When Jen asked Maia who was going to help her clean it up, Maia answered "That guy you married!" :) She knows how it works!

Then the bride snatching plans began.

And, yes, we snatched ourselves a bride. I shouldn't say we since I had no idea it was happening but once it had I helped in the aftermath. :) Both of them were good sports. They both knew Dustin deserved it! AND HE DID!!! :) Just sayin'.

But he got his bride in the end.
I was so glad to see so many of my old friends and especially happy for Dustin and Jen! You may never read this but it was great to meet you and get to know you and we welcome you to our "group", Jen!

The Archery Range

We went to the archery range with April, Laci and Colton over Christmas break. The kids were pretty good! So don't mess with this dangerous bunch! =)

Christmas 2011

I know it's almost March but I really need to play a little catch-up on the blog. I lent Amy my camera and card reader and so haven't had easy access to my pictures. So here finally is Christmas! We went to Pocatello to spend it with family. Upon driving into town Maia yelled, "SNOW!!! It's going to be a good Christmas!" It's been a VERY mild winter and until now we'd only seen snow for a couple of hours all winter. Needless to say, they were excited and stayed outside playing in the snow as soon as we left the car. =)
Some pictures of Christmas morning.
Sadie and her long awaited DS. Santa pulled through.

Luke amazed by an awesome set of Legos. (Thanks Katie & Jared! I covet your Savers.)

The kids making a mad grab for stuffed Pokemon from Laci & Colton.

Maia got the movie she really wanted.

Katie Belle LOVED the Kirby hat grandma made for her. She still wears it all the time and what's funny is...it looks good on her!

At Marlene and Trent's for Christmas dinner.

Visiting grandma and grandpa Mattox.

And here they are with great-grandma and grandpa Ramirez. I was so happy to see my kids speaking to them in Spanish! I love that they can understand their great-grandparents and hopefully more of the extended family when we meet them. It was obviously a wonderful Christmas!
