Fishing!

We had some family come and visit us over the holiday weekend. This time Grandpa Rawson was determined to go fishing and so he took Luke and Sadie on Saturday just to the stream across the road. They didn't have any luck so then he and Sadie went to the pond and tried again. No luck....again. But Sadie was instantly hooked!!!! Can you even believe it? Yes, she went fishing in the freezing cold in a SKIRT with WORMS and she was totally good with it! Just another reason to love Sadie. She begged to go again all day Sunday so Monday we all decided to go. We could actually walk to the ponds from our house. You can see the house behind the cars in the picture. (Okay, maybe you can't but that's where it is!) The ponds aren't much farther away.

It was really cold again so most of us didn't stay very long but Grandpa stayed and caught a few trout. What I thought was really funny was when he brought the fish in for the kids to see.

Maia's comment: "Can we take them to the hospital?"

Sadie's comment: "Can I hold one?"

Katie Belle's comment: "It got wet." =)

Yeah, so all the kids held one.......except for Luke. Puzzling isn't it? He must take after his dad!
